My story
I was born in 1978 in a country that no longer exists. My early childhood was very sheltered, and I was fortunate enough to have an intact family without the traditional division of roles. At the age of 11, I experienced a diametrical paradigm shift, which, in my perception, took place within a few days or weeks. After that, practically nothing was the same. For many of those who had accompanied me up to that point, the fall of the Berlin Wall was the long-awaited turning point. For others, it meant the loss of their ideals, dreams, and values. For me, it was the beginning of my youth, the start of Sturm und Drang (Storm and Stress). Since many adults suddenly suffered from capitalism, as I explained this sudden change of heart to myself, I had to forgo role models to a greater extent. I spent my youth in freedom, mostly full of wild adventures, and I indulged my thirst for discovery almost without limits. Everything I know and can do, I learned through play.
After becoming a self-taught designer, I initially found it difficult to find anything useful in the programs offered by state educational institutions. I dabbled in the fields of pedagogy and architecture, and ultimately found my place in product design. Since 2005, I have been designing spaces for crèches, daycare centers, and schools with my own designs. The diverse challenges of this field continue to fulfill me to this day.
Art is the sister of design, and so it's only logical that it has always accompanied me since my earliest youth. Convinced that one couldn't be both a mother and an artist, I pursued it more as a hobby for many years. But then there came a time in my life marked by traumatic blows of fate and loss. I was torn from my privileged position into a deep abyss and had to experience the failure of all institutions firsthand. This deeply shook my trust in the world and made me rethink things. I began to process my experiences through art, and this is how my first mobiles and dioramas came to be. They are intended to allow the viewer their own personal interpretation and, at the same time, demonstrate that other perspectives are possible. We are all the creators of our future. It should be characterized by respect and love. All life must be allowed to have its place in the world.
